I went in to the Dr on Tuesday 7/29 for my u/s to check my AFI. They took my bp and it was 159/120. Dr came in and asked if I had my NST yet that day and i said im headed there next. He said well youre not going home. So he did my u/s and said Hayden weighed approx. 7.5lbs and there was no sense in keeping him in there since my due date was only 5 days away. So off to the hospital we go. I get in my room and everything starts happening really fast. They started pitocin and magnesium sulfate (for my bp). Both of which suck by the way lol. Pretty soon im having pretty strong contractions so i ask for my epidural. The anesthesiologist comes in and does my epidural and pretty soon im looking at the machine saying hey there goes another one lol. Well about 2 hours later the epidural stops working. So back comes dr cho to re-do my epidural. well i get comfy but only on my left side i felt everything on my right side. So dr cho comes in and ups my dose from 10 to 13 and gives me lidocaine. well that worked till i was 9 cm then i started feeling everything again. By then i was demanding they give me something or i wasnt pushing and the baby was gonna stay in forever or they needed to find another way to get him out. lol. Donny held my hand the whole time and kept passing me my water. My bp ended up dropping really low and haydens heartrate dropped to like 98 so they gave me ephedrine. They had me on oxygen and i could literally peel my lips off they wre so dry. Poor donny i could tell was worried about me he was freaked out. The nurse checked me and said i only had a lip left so she wanted to see if i could push his head past the lip. so we tried and nothing so she kept checking my vitals and telling me to breath in through my nose and out through my mouth finally i turned my head like in the exorcist lol and yelled at her its not working. by this time i could feel his head coming down i told them hes coming where the hell is the doctor. well they didnt believeme so they ahd me push once to practice since they said first time moms need the practice cause they end up pushing for a long time well his head was right there and so they rolled me on my side and held my legs closed tellng me not to push. i told them im not pushing hes coming on his own then all of a sudden there was his head haging out. dr walks in and starts to introduce himself and sees my baby hanging out and the nurse delivered him. i had a small tear 2 stitches and i threw up 3 or 4 times. they took hayden and cleaned him up i didnt even get to see him and i had to ask twice if he was ok before they told me he was fine just groggy from the magnesium. i didnt get to see my little man for 2 1/2 hours but donny went and saw him and took pictures. after 13 1/2 hours of labor i finally had my precious baby boy. 6lbs 3oz 20 inches long
